Modelling Underwater – Victoria

Modelling underwater normally implies that your model should be at least able to swim … Victoria is a very young girl from Mexico City, who – few weeks ago – was planning a short vacation to Cancun. Goggling around, she chanced upon our page and was immediately impressed with our underwater pictures. “I want to give it a try” – she thought, after all she is also a model who has already been modelling for some time for several photographers. So far so good, nothing strange! Modelling underwater would have been just one more photo shoot for her So she dropped us a mail with some pictures and we replied few hours later, sending her some information (aka requirements aka hints) to arrange a modelling underwater photo shoot in a cenote here, in the Riviera Maya.
It was funny to read
her second mail, where she informed that she could not swim!!! Her only experience was condensed into few swimming lessons many years before. But she was so determined that there was no way to convince her to stick with a normal “dry” session in a cenote or on the beach. Against all odds she had decided to have a modelling underwater photo session and we had to arrange it / completely safely. To make a long story short we agreed to a dry session in a cenote with just a quick try in the underwater world. Of course we chose the right place where she could stand at any time and we were standing near to her to cope with any difficulties she would have.
We were wrong, absolutely wrong!!! Since…. after some “dry” shoots she jumped to the crystal clear water of our cenote and on her second try she was already holding her breath. Moreover, she kept her eyes open and enjoying the magical feeling of weightlessness on her first modelling underwater photoshoot.
Victoria we sincerely congratulate you for your courage and determination. We look forward to meeting you again for a new challenge in the underwater world.
